One by one they crash the shore
Sweeping all they can out to sea
You see the destruction they leave behind
Forgetting again how to breathe
They range in size and strength
All able to destroy and kill
Flooding our lives with wreckage and pain
Until we end up at a standstill
They can change all that we know
They can leave a mess for years
Time is of the essence my friend
Patience will ease the remaining tears
