Sometimes I think life is just one big game of Pac-Man.
You’re out here, minding your business, trying to eat those little glowing pellets (aka life’s daily challenges). Bills? Chomp. Deadlines? Chomp. That awkward small talk with your boss in the breakroom? Chomp.
But just when you think you’ve got a rhythm going — BOOM. Here come the ghosts. 👻
In Pac-Man, the ghosts have names, right? In life, ours do too:
Blinky = Anxiety (always right on your tail).
Pinky = Toxic people (they act friendly but corner you fast).
Inky = Bad habits (random, unpredictable, and sneaky).
Clyde = That one setback you never see coming.
You can dodge for a while, sure. But eventually, you’ve got to power up. In the game, that means grabbing a big glowing dot. In life, maybe it’s prayer. Maybe it’s therapy. Maybe it’s coffee. Maybe it’s just finally saying, “No, I can’t keep running in circles for everyone else.”
And here’s the kicker: no matter how many ghosts you escape, another level always loads up. The maze might look different, but the game keeps going. Which means? You’ve still got another chance. Another play. Another life.
So the next time life feels overwhelming, just remember: you don’t have to clear the whole maze in one go. Just keep chomping, one pellet at a time.
And when those ghosts show up? Grab your power-up, turn around, and let them know you’re not running anymore.
Because in the end, Pac-Man isn’t really about winning. It’s about endurance. And you, my friend, have way more lives than you think.
