God’s Shoulder’s

Sometimes life just… life’s.
You know what I mean?
It doesn’t tap you gently on the shoulder.
It doesn’t ask if you’re ready.
It hits hard. It drags you through things you never signed up for.
It leaves bruises you can’t explain and exhaustion you can’t sleep off.

And if we’re honest… we try to carry all of it ourselves.

The pressure.
The fear.
The grief.
The “what ifs.”

The weight of just… being human.
But we were never meant to carry all that.
God literally tells us to put it on His shoulders.

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Not manage it better.
Not try harder.
Not figure it out yourself.
Come to me.
Give it here.
Rest.

That means the weight you’re dragging around right now?
You don’t have to hold it alone.
Because life will beat you up. No sugarcoating that.

It’ll knock you down… then kick you while you’re down… then act surprised you’re still hurting.

It’ll leave you worn out, stretched thin, and wondering how much more you can take.
But even then… God shows mercy.
Every single day.

Lamentations 3:22–23 says:
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning.”

Every morning.
Not just when you’re strong.
Not just when you deserve it.
Not just when you have it together.
Every morning you wake up… mercy is already waiting.

And then there are the storms.
The kind that don’t just shake you — they leave wreckage.
The kind where everything feels like it’s falling apart at once.

The kind where you can’t see how anything will ever be okay again.
But you’re not alone in that storm.
God doesn’t watch from a distance. He steps in with you.

Isaiah 43:2 says:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.”

Not if you go through it.
When.

He never promised no storms.
He promised His presence in them.

And let’s talk about people for a second.
People will disappoint you.
Some will leave.
Some will betray you.
Some will smile in your face and stab you in the back the moment you turn around.

That’s real life.
But God? He doesn’t walk away. Ever.

Hebrews 13:5 says:
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Never is a big word.
And God doesn’t use it lightly.

He stays when others go.
He listens when others ignore.
He holds you together when everything else falls apart.

That’s not just God as ruler.
That’s God as friend.
So if life feels heavy right now…
If the storm feels too loud…
If the weight feels like more than you can carry…

Maybe that’s because it is.
And maybe it was never yours to hold alone.
Put it on His shoulders.
He’s strong enough.
He always has been.
