Stop and Smell the Roses

Someone in my life has embedded this into my mind. I can’t say that I have been successful at it, but I can say that right now at this point in time, I need to start. Sometimes life comes at you so quickly, and you get pulled in 12 different directions. Sometimes an event occurs that knocks you off your feet and leaves you flat on your back. The air is taken from your lungs, and you don’t remember how to speak. Sometimes your world turns upside down and leaves you spinning. Stop. Breath. Life happens. Life gives us a run for our money. People say and do things that make you question yourself. Rumors spread like wildfire, drama gets started, and before you know it, your plans have been changed. Your dreams…are now mere question mark’s. “TIME” is changing. It’s not the same. Memories are seared into your mind forever. Before you know it life kicks you again, and then again. You hold on desperately to your faith, you wish for change. Stop. Breath. Slow down. Take in what’s around you. Embrace what you have. Embrace what is within reach. 70 years flies by, especially for a narcoleptic dog.
