🖤 “First, Not Just Sometimes”
Verse:
Matthew 6:33
“Seek first the kingdom of God… and all these things will be added to you.”
Hey friend.
Let’s be real for a second—
It’s easy to say God comes first…
until life gets busy.
Work piles up.
Stress kicks in.
Your mind is everywhere at once.
And before you even realize it…
God becomes something you fit in instead of something you build around.
Not because you don’t care—
but because life gets loud.
You wake up thinking about everything you have to do.
You go through your day handling problem after problem.
And by the time you finally slow down…
You’re tired.
And God gets whatever energy you have left.
But that verse doesn’t say “seek Him when you can.”
It says:
Matthew 6:33
“Seek first…”
Not second.
Not after everything else is handled.
First.
And I know what you might be thinking—
“I don’t have time.”
“I’ve got too much going on.”
But here’s the truth:
Putting God first doesn’t mean adding more to your plate…
It means reordering it.
It looks like:
talking to Him before your day starts running you
bringing Him into your stress instead of handling it alone
choosing Him even in small, quiet moments
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being intentional.
Because when God is first…
Everything else starts to fall into place differently.
Not easier, necessarily—
but clearer.
You respond better.
You think differently.
You don’t carry everything the same way.
And on the days you don’t feel like it?
Those are the days it matters most.
Because putting God first isn’t about feeling ready…
It’s about choosing Him anyway.
